Seasonal Soirees: Blue Mountain & Collingwood Events Bringing Joy to All

Collingwood, Ontario, has ample natural beauty and many activities throughout the year. It’s difficult to get bored; even during low-key moments, it’s easy to have a good time. The VanderMarck Boutique Hotel is at the center of all the action. We provide a quiet, serene space to unwind that is conveniently close to everything.

The warmer months are a wonderful time to visit. Many people in the community attend the local events, taking advantage of the mild temperatures, lively atmosphere, and fantastic scenery.

Many events in and near the Blue Mountain area are well worth the visit. The VanderMarck is the perfect place to get the revitalizing sleep you need to take on the next day of excursions.

Collingwood Music Festival

The Collingwood Music Festival is set for June 9-18, 2025. It’s a fantastic opportunity to listen to a wide range of musical talent. Some events are free; others require paid admission. View the complete schedule and buy tickets here.

Mayor’s Golf Challenge Cup

What better way to spend time as a golfer in the Blue Mountain area than by devoting an entire day to playing the sport you love, eating, making new friends, and—most importantly—giving back. The Mayor’s Golf Challenge Cup happens on June 19, 2025, right in Collingwood. It starts at 9:30 a.m. and runs throughout the day.

The ticket cost, which helps support the Collingwood and District Special Olympics and the Community Council Grant Program, also comes with many other perks, including green fees, a cart, and plenty of food throughout the day.

National Indigenous History Month/National Indigenous Peoples Day

June, National Indigenous History Month, is the perfect time to discover more about the Indigenous peoples of Canada, specifically the First Nation, Métis, and Inuit. June 21 is also Indigenous Peoples Day. The area has many events, and it’s an excellent time to visit to learn about traditions, music, ceremonies, and more. We recommend keeping an eye out for specific events of interest as it gets closer to June 2025, particularly June 21.

Collingwood Pride Festival

A beautiful, exciting celebration of inclusivity and community, the Collingwood Pride Festival takes place July 11-12, 2025. This multifaceted event includes food, vendors, a fashion show, dancing, and more. Don’t miss the pièce de résistance: the Collingwood Pride Parade happening on July 12 from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Le Diner En Blanc

Dress in your chicest white attire for Le Diner En Blanc in South Georgian Bay. Your standard picnic, this is not. Gather your best picnic materials, including a table and chairs, and prepare your ensemble in advance. This event’s location is cloaked in mystery – until it’s not. Attendees don’t learn the where until the last moment. Make sure to choose a fabulous dinner companion, as it’s required to bring a guest.

Poutine Feast

Poutine is a staple in Canadian cuisine. A touring poutine festival is coming to town for four days, and you’ll definitely want to be here. The food is fantastic, but there’s also much more, including music and games. The event runs from August 21-23 from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and August 24 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Collingwood Art Crawl

The Collingwood Art Crawl is an annual event where you can discover the talents and works of dozens of musicians, artists, and performers. It takes place on September 27, 2025, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. This free event is popular, so we recommend arriving early so you can experience as much as possible. Make sure to grab dinner and dessert at one of our incredible local restaurants. Let us know if you need recommendations; we’d be happy to help!
